Every Industrial Skylight will more than pay for itself by the money saved through reduced electric bills.  For example, skylighting three to four percent of the floor area allows the electric lights to be shut off approximately 2,000 hours per year for regular work schedules, while also saving 60 to 70 percent of lamp and ballast maintenance costs. The payback can be realized as quickly as seven months and usually no longer than two years.  If the building is used around the clock every day, the lights can be turned off approximately 3,000 hours per year with a lamp and ballast maintenance cost savings of 33%.

  • Transmit 30% more light with superior light distribution
  • Direct more of the transmitted light to the work plane
  • Catch up to 20% more light at low sun angles
  • Are 50% stronger than required by the Uniform Building Code
  • Come standard with a safety security guard
  • Give the quickest return on invested capital
  • Cost no more than ordinary skylights having none of the above features

Industrial Skylight curbs come standard with a Safety Security Guard.  Pre-installed in the curb, the guard replaces a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood.  Impact tested by testing Engineers, Inc. (a 245 lb. lead weight dropped from a height of 3 feet), the guards are fabricated in a 6" x 6" welded grid pattern using 3/16" cold-rolled galvanized steel rod.  The guards eliminate the need to install temporary railing around each skylight opening and permanently protect against accidents.
